About us:
Rebellie Game farm is situated only 300 km from Johannesburg, Durban or Bloemfontein, on route between the picturesque town of Clarens and the Golden Gate National Park, with GPS Co-ordinates 28°34'54.94"S 28°29'14.94"E, and an altitude of 2010 meters above sea level. This area is referred to as the “Jewel of the Free State“.
Nestled in the serene mountain scape of the majestic Maluti Mountains, Rebellie offers the perfect sanctuary away from everyday city life, noise and stress. Come relax, replenish and refresh your body, mind, and soul. ACCOMODATION:
The Lodge - sleeps 7
The Lodge sleeps 7 guests and has two bedrooms and a loft. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a single bed. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The loft has two single beds and access to a bathroom with a shower. Bedding is provided, and guests must bring their own towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a microwave, stove, oven, fridge, and dining table. The lounge has a fireplace, and the patio has braai facilities. The unit is pet-friendly, and small dogs must be kept on a leash. The private jacuzzi is no longer in use.
The property has no fencing, and wildlife such as black wildebeest, eland, zebra, and blesbok roam freely. On-site activities include hiking to viewpoints over Lesotho and Clarens, 4x4 routes graded between 3 and 5, and mountain biking. Nearby activities include horse riding, target shooting, fishing, and river rafting.

Loslit - sleeps 12
Loslit offers comfortable accommodation for 12 people, in 6 bedrooms with 2 shared bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms has a private entrance and is furnished with 2 single beds. Bedding is provided, but guests please need to bring their own towels. 1 of the bathrooms has a bath and a shower and is wheelchair friendly with rails by the bath as well as the shower. The second bathroom has a shower only.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove and oven, a microwave as well as a kettle and 2 tables. Guests can make use of the braai facilities in the covered lapa, which has big windows so guests can enjoy the views of the mountains and surrounds.
Loslit is pet-friendly, but small dogs please need to be kept on a leash. The unit does not have a TV, but guests are welcome to bring their CD players, as well as binoculars, cameras and painting equipment to capture the moments.
The guest farm does not have any fences, and game such as black wildebeest, zebra, and eland roam freely, and guests may even have the joy of having them visit. Guests can climb the mountain, which offers a view off Lesotho and Clarens, bring their mountain bikes to explore the farm or test their 4x4 skills on the 2 routes available, which is graded 3 to 5. Nearby activities such as target shooting, horse riding, fishing and white water rafting can also be enjoyed.

Mooihoek - sleeps 8
Enjoying a lovely view of the mountain and surrounds, Mooihoek offers comfortable accommodation for 8 people, which consists of 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second room with 2 single beds. The mezzanine sleeps 4 and is divided by built-in cupboards; on either side of the cupboards, there are 2 single beds. The unit has 2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower. Bedding is provided but guests please need to bring their own towels.
The spacious unit has a kitchen that is equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven and a fridge. Guests can relax in the lounge which has a fireplace or make use of the braai facilities on the patio. Mooihoek is pet-friendly, but small dogs please need to be kept on a leash.
The guest farm does not have any fences, and game such as black wildebeest, eland, zebra, and blesbok roam freely, and guests may even have the joy of having them visit. Bring your camera, paints or binoculars and enjoy the scenery.

Hiking
Natural Exercise
Hiking is not restricted to certain trails. Guests have the freedom of the farm to do game viewing on foot. Test your fitness by challenging the mountain slopes to the top where you will meet up with the 4 x 4 trail. Be sure to take water and / or refreshments as this is serious climbing!
The lower 4 x 4 trail leads to the kloof and a lovely picnic spot under the willows. Relax - enjoy and escape from reality beside the chattering mountain stream. Help yourself to a reviving drink from the uncontaminated spring water, originating high in the mountain.
Game viewing
Experience nature in all its glory. Rebellie, with its variety of game and birdlife, is the ideal retreat for nature lovers. The game consists of Eland, Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, Springbok, Black Wildebeest, Grey Rhebok and Mountain Reedbuck.
Binoculars are essential for spotting the timid Eland against the high mountain slopes where they feed on the Oldwood shrubs.
